Welcome to Galileo’s Voyage

A science education company specialising in physics and astronomy, supporting science & mathematics teaching and learning, from primary school through secondary school to early university years.

We offer

  • tutoring for individuals or small groups;

  • talks and workshops for schools, clubs and festivals;

  • guidance and support for students completing research projects;

  • consultation services for educational professionals.

Our vision

To bring out the scientist in all our students, regardless of age or prior knowledge, and cultivate the evidence-based thinking skills we all possess.

Tutoring

We choose the right pace of tutoring for each student. We help them build their confidence, tackle their weaknesses and become independent learners. We have a proven record of consistently raising attainment in GCSE and A level examinations.

Talks and workshops

With our talks and workshops we bring current scientific research to our audiences in a way that is simple to understand. We aim to enrich the scientific knowledge and skills of our audiences and to broaden their horizons.

Student projects

We guide and support students of all ages towards completing a research project and gaining a CREST Award from the British Science Association. The inquiry-based and project-based learning methods we use sustain the sense of wonder and awe in our students and improve the critical thinking skills they need for their future.

For educators

We offer consultation services for educational professionals. We offer training sessions for teachers that focus on particular curriculum areas of physics. We design and create workshops and demonstrations to advance public understanding of science, specialising in physics and astronomy.

We are all passengers on a voyage to understand the world around us. Throughout our history, from Galileo to Newton to Einstein and continuing to present-day theories and models of the universe, we keep pursuing our goal, correcting our false steps and advancing further. It is not an easy journey; we observe, hypothesise, collect data, analyse and reach conclusions. Galileo’s Voyage is the voyage of every one of us as we absorb the knowledge that was accumulated by our predecessors in Science and Mathematics.
